Just a few random pictures where things got a little weird. Film is unpredictable, and a little crazy. Which is probably why I love it so much – it reminds me of myself at times.

Happy New Year! I have my arms, mind, and heart open to everything 2012 will have to offer. I have lots of plans for written up, and I’m looking forward to getting started on a few creative projects I’ve been thinking about for the past few months. This is going to be good!
The Photos above were taken during a recent trip to Disneyland to celebrate my birthday. Watching the sunrise(and sunset)from 30,000 feet in the air is always a spiritual experience for me. It’s probably the only thing I like about flying.

Signing off for the rest of the year. I’ll be spending some much needed time just relaxing around town with friends and family this week. I’m not really one to make a bunch of new years resolutions, but I do have a few photo projects that I really look forward to getting started in the new year. More to come in the next few weeks regarding that! 2011 has been an amazing year for me. Many of this years best moments were shared here on this blog, and I’d like to thank everyone who reads this for allowing me to share those moments with you all. It truly means a lot to me. The obligatory mirror shot. Most of us who take pictures do it. It’s what I usually do when I have a few exposures left on a roll of film that I want to finish up, other times I do it just to be silly.

Thank God it’s Friday. Yesterday was a big day in my world, and I’m so glad it’s over. Looking forward to getting out and taking some pictures this weekend, and course buying some vinyl!
I started using the full functionality of Instagram this week, and I really like it. I’ve used the application for quite some time to add filters to pictures on my phone, but never really used the social part of the service. I’m shocked at how good some of the photographs people take with their mobile phones are. Look me up and follow me there at: richieabenavidez
